| Ripstop
Pertex 5 and Pertex 6 are used for their excellent
lightweight, windproof and breathable qualities.
Such features in a fabric are essential in Alpine
use. Ripstop 5 is exceedingly light and highly breathable.
Pertex 6 retains a high breathability count, is
also very hard wearing. We recommend Pertex 5 for
high aerobic activities and Pertex 6 for 'high abrasion'
uses such as mountaineering. |

by police forces and fire services, Vent-x is designed
to provide comfort and maximum protection from the
elements using the latest hydrophilic breathable
technology. |

| Airvent
is a high performance fabric, used exclusively in
our Air range of garments. This mid-weight layer
fabric is excellent for moderate/high aerobic activity
such as climbing or hiking. Airvent can be used
in a wide range of climates, from British summers
to Alpine winters. |

| Transvent
is used in our Alpine Performance Lite system. The
fabric works as a high wicking lining, combined
with the Pertex Ripstop 5 outer shell. Used in this
combination moisture transmission happens rapidly,
giving an excellent comfortable, dry, breathable
performance. |

of all multi-role technical fleece. Due to its fibre,
construction, weight and soft feel, our Polartec
200 garments provide the user with great stretch
properties and comfort second to none. Our complete
Valdez range uses this fabric. |

Karisma fabric is quite unique because of its tight
fibre construction. It is exceedingly windproof
for a fleece garment, and whilst it remains soft
to the touch and very light, it is incredibly hard
wearing. The speed of drying of the fabric after
a heavy downpour is nothing short of remarkable.
It is for these reasons that we use Karisma in our
Sierra Trek range. |

constructed to wick body moisture from the inner
to the outer surface of the fabric where it evaporates
or transfers to the next layer. |

| Used
in our Alpine Pile and Alaskan range, MC1 Pile fabric
will keep you warm and comfortable in the depths
of Winter. So long as the wearer remains active,
the properties of the pile allow you to retain warmth,
even when MC1 Pile is completely wet. |
